Fighting Hunger & Malnutrition in Dehradun’s Slum Communities

In the slum areas of Dehradun, thousands of families continue to struggle with hunger and lack of proper nutrition. For many, even a single wholesome meal a day is uncertain. Children grow up without essential nutrients, affecting their health, growth, and future.

At SRSHTI (Sardar Ranjodh Singh Health and Training Initiative), we are working on the ground to change this reality.

Through our regular food distribution drives, we reach underserved communities across Dehradun — including areas like Selaqui, Vikasnagar, and nearby settlements — providing not just food, but nutritionally balanced, hygienic meals to those who need it the most.

Our focus goes beyond feeding hunger. We aim to ensure:

• Access to basic nutrition, especially for children and the elderly
• Freshly prepared, hygienic meals
• Dignity and care with every distribution

So far, we have successfully conducted 50+ food drives, reaching thousands of individuals in vulnerable communities.

But the need is still immense — and we cannot do this alone.
